    Dr. Louise Mackenzie

    Chiropractor

Dr Louise Mackenzie brings over two decades of experience and genuine passion to helping patients of all ages achieve optimal health. Her personal journey with chiropractic began at just four years old, giving her firsthand insight into its transformative impact.

Graduating from the New Zealand Chiropractic College in 2003, Dr Louise received three prestigious awards: Academic Excellence, Clinic Merit, and the BJ Palmer Philosophy Award. She has also contributed to the profession through published research exploring the relationship between spinal dysfunction and reaction time measures, reflecting her commitment to evidence-informed practice.

Dr Louise takes a holistic, root-cause approach to care, carefully assessing how posture, stress, and lifestyle factors influence overall health. She creates personalised treatment plans designed to restore balance, optimise function, and empower patients to take an active role in their wellbeing. She is especially passionate about supporting families across all stages of life—from newborns to the elderly—and believes the body has an innate ability to heal when given the right support.

In practice, Dr Louise utilises a range of techniques including Diversified Technique, Gonstead Technique, Neural Organization Technique (N.O.T.), Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP), and Dry Needling. She has a particular interest in postural correction using advanced CBP protocols, addressing stress-related conditions through the spine–nervous system connection, supporting teenage health (including technology-related posture concerns and sports injuries), and identifying root causes for lasting results beyond symptom relief.

Her greatest satisfaction comes from witnessing patients discover their body’s remarkable capacity to heal—whether helping newborns with feeding difficulties or supporting older adults in maintaining independence.
